2021: Year when we thought things will go back to normal after a crazy and unexpected 2020...
The year didn't start well as instead of a 3 weeks lockdown we ended up in a 3 month lockdown here in UK.
However this year wasn't all bad. I must say that now looking back I have actually done more than I expected and ticked things off from my list without realising :o I would like to share with you some things I've done and places I visited this year. However before we start I would like to say that I am not sharing this to make anyone feel bad for what they haven't done. Remember everyone is different, everyone has more or less hobbies, more or less time. So please don't compare yourself :) This post is mainly to encourage/inspire and to summarise my year :)

During lockdown I wasn't at work ( I work in retail so my shop was closed). I must say that I have used this time very effectively. I signed up for acting classes online and started preparing for LAMDA Grade 3 exam which I passed later on this year with a Distinction :) It was quite a challenge especially as English is not my first language but I enjoyed it very much and I'm looking forward to doing grade 5 in 2022.

In January we had 1 snowy day. I loved it ! In Poland where I grew up we always had snow in winter but ever since I moved to UK I rarely see any snow so even a little bit makes me happy.

In February I celebrated my 22nd Birthday.
Because of lockdown I couldn't do anything on my birthday so decided to do a little "party" for myself to make this day at least a little bit more special :) To read more about it make sure to read my blog: https://www.lifebykai.co.uk/post/lockdown-birthday-experience-tips .

On the day of my Birthday I also officially started my Youtube channel :) It has been a great journey so far and I love creating new videos. By the end of the year I created probably about 50 videos but posted only 14 :) I am hoping to be more consistent in the new year so if you haven't yet subscribed to my channel why not do it now ? During lockdown I have also created some home content. I very much enjoyed setting up photos like this :)

In 2021 I explored Oxfordshire and other places around UK. I discovered new places and there is still so much more to see. Here are some of my favourite places I've seen this year:

At the beginning of the year I also bought a drone :) I am still learning on how to use it as there aren't many places where I am allowed to fly it but it is a lot of fun :) I am hoping to create more content using my drone soon so definitely check out my social media channels :)

During my free time I have also played with makeup a bit more and here are some results of it :)
This later on lead to a new chapter of my life which I will talk about a bit layer :)

This year (like every year) I also did my best at supporting my favourite artist Mark from GOT7 :) You can also check out my youtube video here:

At the end of May I have visited the ARTBOX Cafe in Brighton which was decorated in BT21 characters. For full cafe review check my blog post:

In June I took my parents for a few days away. We stayed at a lovely cottage (review coming soon). We had a wonderful time and explored the area including going to the town called Hay on Wye.

I was also lucky to visit a variety of different restaurants and cafes this year enjoying delicious food and desserts for which I am very grateful.

At the end of June I was asked by my acting teacher whether I would like to take part in a show (someone couldn't do it and they needed a replacement). I had about 4 weeks to prepare but I said "Yes " :) It was a lot of work especially learning everything last minute but it was worth it :) I love performing on stage and wish I could do it more often.

In August I also visited Windsor castle for the first time. It was amazing ! Full review coming soon but I can already say that it was worth the visit ;)

In the middle of August I made probably one of the most spontaneous decision in my life (so far) and especially this year. I have decided to quit my full time job as an Assistant manager in a store and go back to college to study hair and makeup. It wasn't an easy decision and because I was over 20 years old and already have a level 3 qualification I needed to pay for my course in full. But I decided to do it :) By the time I'm writing this I have officially finished my first term. More about my college life coming soon :) But if you are interested a bit more about why I have decided to quit my job etc. Go check out my youtube video where I explain everything :) LINK:

In September I officially started College :) It wasn't easy and it's still not easy but I am learning a lot :)

I have also returned to the music studio :) Working on something which if all goes well will be shared in 2022 ;) For more details check out my official music page: https://www.instagram.com/kai0202_official/

In October I have done something I thought I will never do in my life... I did my first ever Park Run. And surprisingly I enjoyed it :) I'm not that good and I'm very slow but still feeling proud of myself for trying and doing it few times :) Hopefully I will continue to do it when it gets warmer again in Spring :) This year I also carved a pumpkin for the first time :) It was a lot of fun :) Although I must say I am not a massive fun of a pumpkin smell :o

Closer to Christmas I have also restarted my card making business - "Made by Kai" (which I originally started in 2020). I'm still getting a hang of it but if you would like to check it out here is the link :) Cards for every occasion :)

As part of Christmas preparations apart from decorating the Christmas tree with my mum I also baked Gingerbread following my grandmas recipe :) They were delicious :)

In December I also had a chance to visit Basildon Park which was decorated for Christmas ;)
I loved it there ! Definitely place worth a visit. More about my trip to Basildon Park will be in a blog soon.

Then of course Christmas :) I got to spend it with my family which made me very happy :)

and now only New Years Eve left (which I get to spend with my boyfriend) and we will start 2022. I must say I am excited for 2022. I already have few things planned :)
And that would be it for the final blog of 2021. Thank you for your support this year ! Whether you watched any of my youtube videos or liked any of my Instagram posts or read any of my blog posts- Thank you ! Happy New Year ! And see you in 2022 ! :) xoxo Kai ^^
