Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog :)
As you can tell by the title of this blog I will share with you my lockdown birthday experience and share with you some suggestions to make this day special even when you're stuck at home. If you follow me on my social media you would have seen that at the begining of February it was my 22nd birthday. At the moment due to the Covid Pandemic we have a 3rd lockdown here in the UK. That means I couldn't go anywhere, do anything or travel anywhere, however, it didn't stop me from celebrating my birthday in a fun way. I have decided to purchase party supplies and cake and do my little party at home (Don't worry no one was there other than my parents who live with me).

So let's start on what I have prepared. First of all I purchased balloons and party supplies from Amazon (links below). This was to help me create a nice background for photos and to change my surroundings a little without leaving my house. We live in a small house, so there isn't that much space to keep the decorations up for a few days so I needed to instal all the balloons etc. on the day. I know it might look easy to do however, it takes a while. Can you guess how long it took us to get it all set up? ..... 2.5h :D But it was worth it ! I absolutely loved these decorations and kind of wished it could stay like this :)

Another thing I decided to prepare was of course the cake. As I had a specific idea in mind I decided to order a personalised "photo cake" from BakerDays. I have ordered a photo cake from them before and was very happy with the quality of the design and flavour so I decided to use their service again. I have created a picture design and sent it to them and I got the cake looking exactly how I wanted it to. I mean just look at it ! :) It was soo pretty that it was a shame to eat it ;)

(That was the design I created :) )

In the morning of my birthday I also received a beautiful flower bouquet from my parents. I love receiving flowers so I always wait for my birthday as it's one of the occasions when I receive flowers from my loved ones :)

When it was all ready I wore my beautiful dress from AXPARIS, done my makeup and did my birthday photoshoot.

After all the photos were taken it was time for other activities.

I was checking my social media and messenger apps.

Got to chat with my loved ones and opened my birthday cards :)

Finally in the evening we watched TV and ate pizza (I love pizza so that was my decision to have pizza on my birthday).

Overall it was a very good day. It was a shame I couldn't see my friends but thanks to all the messages and phone calls I didn't feel lonely. I am very glad we live in the 21st century when we can communicate easily. You just pick up the phone and call or message and the other person receives it instantly. Of course, I still love hand written letters or birthday cards but sometimes it's nicer when you can get a response straight away :)

If your birthday is coming up and you don't know what to do as it's lockdown, here are a few suggestions from me of what you can do:
- Order your favourite food
- Wear something that makes you feel good
- Order birthday cake
- Call family or friends on facetime
- Play games online with your family or friends
- Organise a Zoom Birthday Party
- Organise Online Movie Night
- Decorate your room
- Do a home SPA
These are just a few suggestions but I hope they will help you to do something on your birthday.
If you have a moment make sure to check out my birthday video on my Youtube Channel (LINK COMING SOON).
Thank you soo much for reading.
xoxo
