Romantic gateway away from the city....

In April we stayed at a beautiful De Vere Tortworth Court hotel. We stayed there for a weekend for our anniversary. When we got to the hotel we were greeted at the reception, were given keys and directions on how to get to our room. It wasn’t that hard to find it although the hotel is pretty big.

The room was spacious with a big double bed, 2 chairs and a small table, a desk and a table with a kettle and a tea set.

Who doesn’t love a small cup of tea?

The bathroom had a bathtub and on the walls there were beautiful white and green tiles.

After we checked in and left the luggage in our room we went to have a look around the hotel. The gardens are absolutely stunning! Perfect for weddings :) don’t you agree?

There is also spa and wellness part however, we didn’t have a chance to use these facilities this time.

In a hotel there is a restaurant in an old library from 1838 in which we had a chance to eat dinner one evening. That evening I decided to have eat salmon, it was a good choice because it was delicious.

The restaurant was beautiful but because of a dim lighting and other people inside I didn’t have a chance to take a picture. Maybe it’s time for you to go and see it yourself?

On the first evening of our visit we had dinner at the hotel’s bar. I (as always) had a margarita pizza. It was very tasty. One of the best pizzas I have ever eaten ! :)

The next day I couldn’t miss a chance to get some pictures taken. It was quite cold that day which explains why I’m wearing a hat and a winter jacket :) But that didn’t stop me.

There is an old looking picture frame in the garden so that you can take a picture with the hotel in the background. Personally, I think it’s a lovely idea.

Overall our stay at the Tortworth Court was enjoyable. If I ever have a chance, I will visit this hotel again and would recommend it to everyone who wants to get out of town to a lovely romantic location and enjoy time in the garden or spa or just enjoy this gorgeous hotel 😍
